Hi there, My name is Holly Barnes-Bennetts. I am a Lecturer of Media & Culture at the University of Worcester, And Founder & Researcher of The Consent is Positive Project!
I SET UP THIS PROJECT WITH A DUAL PURPOSE:
One purpose is, and always will be, to promote positive sexual consent widely– to encourage people to communicate more openly and confidently about what consent looks and feels like to them.
The other purpose is Research– I am completing a PhD based at the University of Worcester.
I’m really hoping that you and your sexual partner/s might be willing to have a conversation about consent and share it with the project- so I can gather up lots and lots of accounts of real life positive sexual consent.
My main aim and hope for the research is that it will create some genuinely useful information for sex education initiatives nationally and globally.
Absolutely everyoneis welcome to the Consent is Positive Project (although you do need to be 18 or over to participate in the research). Whatever your sexual identity, gender identity, race, culture, relationship status or orientation- I want to hear from you!
It wont take much of your time and you can do it from the comfort of your own home. Your anonymity would be assured, and everything you share would be securely stored.
